Tweed Heads is recognised as one of the prime locations for observing the yearly migration of humpback whales during July and September.
Around Cook Island we are fortunate to have close encounters with these graceful creatures of the deep.
The estimated population of 10,000 travel yearly from Antartica up the east coast of Australia to their breeding grounds in the warmer Coral Seas.
