About your Course Director
I started my dive career in the Caribbean at the age of 14. My diving career however began when I was 22 in Australia when I did my IDC. Shortly after my IDC I started to work for Deep Sea Divers Den in Cairns as a course instructor. Teaching all levels of courses in German, English and Spanish.
My career in the dive industry progressed by becoming a supervisor on one of the live aboard vessels and then became a skipper (AMSA Master Class 5) in 1997. I also led the the marketing team for about 4 years before taking on a few years of "dry work".
The ocean however called me back and I had the opportunity to establish a new dive operation in Port Douglas as operations manager. After a company change I was instrumental in growing the dive business for Quicksilver Dive and became their in-house PADI Course Director.
Now, I am the owner of Dive Instructor Academy offering IDC programs at Tweed Seasports and in the Caribbean.

Continued support. Once you have passed your IE, my support does not stop. You have access to me at any time after your IE if you need any support or have PADI related diver education questions. Like... Ahhhhh I've never taught a Rescue course before... Where do I start?
I have created an online learning portal for physics, physiology, equipment, skills and environment and RDP which is accessible for you here. (Even if you decide not to do your IDC with me) Click here - online portal
The IDC program is there not to educate you about diving, but more to teach you how to teach. Another big part of the IDC is to learn how to use the PADI educational system, where to find the answers to performance requirement for courses as well as hone your demonstrations skills.
What are demonstrations skills??? Well, it's the way that you would demonstrate how to do a skill underwater. Click here - demonstration skills to view some examples.
Please let me know if there is anything you require from me to assist you in your journey to becoming a PADI Dive Instructor.
If you are ready to commit and want to sign up please visit the sign up page here. Once the deposit of $640 is received I will email you access to the eLearning materials.
