Who can do the course?
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification.
You need to be at least 10 years old.
Prerequisites

10 years old and able to swim. If you have pre-existing medical conditions that may affect you when diving you will need clearance from a physician. Please see PADI Medical for the medical questionnaire.

Age 10 - 15 years young will be certified as JR Open water diver (conditions apply).
The course

Learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including how to set up and use dive equipment.

Complete pool dives and classroom training sessions.

Make 4 open water dives out at Cook Island just off Tweed Heads.
How long will it take?
Our programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. The Open Water Course can be completed in 3 full days, or over 2 weekends, or tailor made to suit you.
